"Excellent choice of food here. Arrived at 8.45am on a Saturday, and it's already packed with people. Food prices are reasonable. Noodle dishes starting from RM5. There are about 15 stalls here, and most patrons are local Penangites. I had Lam Mee and Mee Jawa, and both were very good!"

"Had breakfast here and decided to try a few of their popular items. The hokkien lou turned out quite enjoyable — the noodles had good texture and the sauce was nicely balanced. The roti bakar set came with half-boiled eggs, and the bread had a slightly salty note that actually worked well once dipped into the eggs. The half-boiled eggs were cooked just right, creamy and smooth. The wantan mee was okay, something simple but pleasant if you prefer a milder flavour. There are plenty of choices on the menu, which makes it easy to mix and match according to your mood. I even packed some pau to taste later since they looked appealing. A satisfying breakfast spot overall, especially if you enjoy familiar local flavours and variety on the table."

"Coffee shop with ample stalls. Good food with reasonable price. Great food like Oyster Porridge and Curry Mee was our favorite. I love the almond with evaporated milk which is thick and creamy. But it was NOT brightly lit and ventilation was LACKING due to low roof. FOOD : Non-Halal LOCATION : Beside Market CHOICE : Very Good TASTE : Good PRICE : Satisfactory AVG.VALUE: RM5-7 per plate / set"

"This spot really hit the right notes for me, especially the lor mee, which ended up being my favourite dish here. It has a lovely gentle sweetness and a lighter consistency — not overly thick or starchy like some Singapore-style versions — making it very easy to enjoy till the last spoonful. The popiah came drenched in gravy, which was nicely flavourful, though I personally was expecting a drier style. Still, it’s comforting in its own way and may appeal more to those who enjoy a wetter, saucier bite. As for the oyster porridge, it was decent but didn’t quite stand out for me — pleasant, but not particularly memorable compared to the other dishes. What really elevated the experience was the warm and friendly service; the people here make you feel genuinely welcome. Plus, the location is very convenient, being just a short drive from Georgetown Specialist Hospital, making it an easy stop whether you’re in the area intentionally or just passing by."

"One of the ultra famous and tasty Koay Chap from Air Itam (Hwa Beng Kopitiam) have extended their outlet here at Lee Huat Cafe. We encourage you to check them out, the chubby sister is managing the outlet here. Quality of the dish maintained. Greenlane zone community can indulge Koay Chap just across the busy Jalan Masjid Negeri street along with other tasty Penang hawkers delight."

"The only time I will eat mee curry in Penang is at this place. I think they serve one of the best curry mee with pig blood. Oyster porridge, steam bread and Jawa mee are good too. Not to forget their nasi Lemak. One of the best in town. We will never miss makan here every time we are in Penang. Do visit."
